Riga
11 Jul
Spent a few days in Riga, Latvia, recently (just before the Bergmarathon) with people from Arche Noah and Pro Specie Rara for a Grundtvig project to exchange experiences with eco-agriculture and such.
Will have to see about a little report on that, for one or the other of my blogs/sites, but wanted to share these photos, anyways.
Why?
Well, if you want to discover a place, make yourself at home, find the beauty you forgot your home to have – change your perspectives on it. Go out with the early morning’s sunrise, for example…
Being back in Riga was a fascinating experience, I must say.
Somehow, it still feels like maybe it should be a somewhat exotic place to me, as the Baltics are still so little known to Central Europeans.
At the same time, there are not so few connections – and I’d lived here for almost a year, just before going to China, learnt (some) Latvian and Russian, went running all around the city. So, my feet still know their way around it very well…
